Delikat-Essen (Díptico)

Concept

Bèla Adler has the talent to capture the fluidity of movement with her camera. In this work, the photographer is inspired by the most emblematic metaphor of transformation: the metamorphosis of a butterfly. This leaflet is part of an autobiographical book project titled: Delikat-Essen. The book talks about the loss of identity after an accident-trauma and how we can digest, transform and heal this through art. The image of the forest represents the threshold we cross when we die. In contrast, the butterfly perched on the face of the woman is the symbol of rebirth, of transformation.
