Concept
Thread and Ground is part of the Inner Geographies series, a collection that explores the relationship between body, surface and time through textiles and cement. In this work, the fabric appears as a vertical strip that crosses and dialogues with the pigmented cement surface, generating tension between structure and movement. The composition explores the idea of base and limit: the mineral plane acts as stable territory, while the textile introduces rhythm, variation and an organic presence that breaks the uniformity. The work invites a restrained observation, where matter is revealed as a trace and as a silent record of time.
