Dear Planet Earth,

Today is your day, and we want to celebrate by giving you thanks. Thank you for the air, the sea, and the land. Thank you for giving us a place to live and put down roots, for caring for and respecting us. We are eternally grateful. Without you, none of this would be possible. You're our home, and you deserve that we give back everything you've given to us. And, although we know we aren't perfect and that we still have a lot to learn, we are committed to you.

It's for that reason that, in Kave Home, we prioritise our responsibilities to you above all. You are what inspires us to design and craft pieces with recycled, sustainable materials and to use artisanal techniques, focusing ourselves on our social commitment.

Our Commitment to the Environment

Since we started this adventure, at Kave Home we've been developed our most important project, of which we're proudest:
Kave Cares
Through Kave Cares we carry out the action to strengthen our commitment day-by-day, to the environment and society.

We believe that our relationship with you shouldn't just be centered on strictly environmental things, but on everything we interact with as a company. We've gone a step further, centering ourselves on four areas that are essential to us: the design of our products, the manufacturing process, the talent, and our community.

Our products are designed to be manufactured with sustainable materials, and the Kave Cares label highlights those products made with recycled, natural, and certified materials. As you can see, we put as much importance on an aesthetic design as on the materials that it's composed of.

Our objective is to maintain the commitment throughout the chain of production. That's why we work with providers that share our values. Our designers follow the latest trends, and integrate them into the use of sustainable materials that makes them unique.

At Kave Home we promote a tight knit relationship with our community, working on projects that help us to achieve our enviornmental objectives. To give you an idea, one of our most important projects has been our offices. We've designed them so that they're energy efficient,
here we'll tell you what we've been doing

Our Actions and Projects

This is a declaration of intention, and so that you can see we're serious, we're going to tell you what we've been doing lately:

40% of our products are made from totally of partially recycled materials, and in 2020 we generated 16,000kg less single-use plastic by modifying the packaging of our sofas to be cardboard and recycled material. In 2021 we reduced our CO2 emissions by 15% by optimising our packaging and logistics processes. Furthermore, that same year we received the official FSC® certificate, that is accredited only to companies which can assure that their wood comes from controlled felling.

We create furniture with recycled material like PET, made from recycled plastic bottles, we design our products to take advantages of the space in each one of our delivery vehicles, and we've substituted traditional ink for ink made from soy on our cardboard bags.

There's more. Because we have big plans for you: we set ourselves the target of reaching 70% of our products made totally or partially from recycled materials. We want to eliminate 100% of plastics in our packaging by 2025, and we've set ourselves the deadline of 2030 to convert ourselves into a carbon neutral company. As you can see, we are striving to make you a clean and safe place.

Our Community

Everything we've mentioned wouldn't be possible without the people that support us, and make it possible that Kave Home is where it is today: our customers, employees, and partners. That's why we also want to give thanks to Carla, because you've supported our initiative through the purchasing of Kave Cares products. To Alex, because you bring your tote bag to our stores and avoid the unnecessary use of paper. To Julia, who comes by bike. To Paula, because you recycle everything, and every bit of your waste. To Alex, because you use your reusable sandwich bag everyday instead of aluminium foil. To Victor, because you buy loose fruits and vegetables. To Pablo, because you use glass bottles, and to all those people who contribute their grain of sand to this great project: caring for the Earth. Because without you all, none of this would be possible.

Thank you.

Happy Earth Day
