Choosing the colour of a child’s bedroom can be much more overwhelming than for other rooms, because our style changes so much when we’re young and we haven’t yet figured out what we like. We’ve created this guide to help you find the right colour.

1.Light, neutral tones for teenagers

If we had to pick one golden rule for bedroom colours, this would be it. Neutral shades are always ideal for matching with any other colour, style or type of room.

In a young person’s bedroom, they’re essential, as they allow you to redecorate as often as you like, without getting in the way. What’s more, bright colours such as blue, green or pink can bore them (or you!) more quickly.

2.All kinds of colours for kids

As in any bedroom, it’s essential for the one who sleeps there to feel comfortable in their surroundings. This means adding details and decorating the space to make it all about them.

When decorating, it’s important to bring in creativity, imagination and play as you find the perfect mix. Don’t be afraid of trying new things, the results might amaze you!

Look for decorative pictures, mirrors, wall lights, photo frames, or even be bold and paper one wall – it’s easy to hang and move whenever you like. Just wait and see. With a bit of decoration, you’ll create that unique “nest” effect.

3.Breaking the rules. Very teenage

Few things are more youthful than eclectic mixes, shaking off conventions and looking for a personal style that’s all about here and now. Some of the top interior designers have made their name using colours like these, so go for it!
