Inspired by the creaminess of chocolate, our team designed this display with a wavy surface to showcase the iconic bars and carambinas created by Jordi Roca in his Casa Cacao workshop.
Its finish, hand-crafted by artisans, is covered with fragments of cacao shells.

Casa Cacao and Kave Home share their origin and passion for excellence and expertise. How have your region and family tradition influenced the way you work?
My region and my history have structurally influenced my creative approach, everything I do comes from that heritage in one way or another. The privileged environment in which Girona is located, as well as my family legacy, are creative starting points that I often use.
The finish of the piece of furniture that will display your iconic bars and carambinas is made with cocoa husk fragments and its wavy surface is inspired by the creaminess of chocolate. Could you describe the creative process that you and the Kave Home team used to design this display stand?
The development of this project was a very enriching experience, as we share a common vision in which sustainability and the reuse of materials are important. Our starting point was the intention to expose the components we use to make chocolate. I think we did a great job together.
The grain of a piece of wooden furniture is like the aromatic notes of a chocolate bar: it silently tells us about its origin. How do the roots of the cacao tree affect the final taste of your creations?
When we talk about parallels between the world of wood and furniture, we could say that the grain of the trees reflects how they have lived, how they have grown, how they have developed and how they look when they become wood. When we talk about chocolate, let’s say that the imprint of the soil, the climate, those roots, means that each origin has its own character, and each tree produces a different fruit.
There are spaces that invite us to share moments and enjoy the small pleasures. In which space of the house would you recommend enjoying your chocolates to enhance the sensory experience?
The enjoyment of chocolate requires, in my opinion, a certain amount of attention. So, I would recommend tasting it in a tranquil space that encourages relaxation and introspection. The first thing that comes to mind is an armchair or sofa.
If your chocolates were a room, what would it look like? What atmosphere, light and textures would define it?
It would be a space with warm and enveloping textures, where darker colours would prevail. My chocolates are like a tranquil room, illuminated by a soft light.
Finally, how did this collaboration come together and what does it represent for you?
This collaboration arose through affinity, because it had to happen. We are two companies born in the same city, both with a great international presence. I am proud to showcase our speciality chocolates alongside Kave Home. There is no better pairing.
