Tectonía Diatréfica Trapecio
Paul Anton€ 1,640Concept
Tectonías explores how architecture shapes the spaces in which we live, playing with contrasts: the solid and the lightweight, the fragile and the forceful. Through layers of paper, the work combines structure and lightness, creating a dialogue between the fragmented and the continuous. Inspired by the evolution of human dwellings, it draws influences from tectonic architecture, the sculpture of Henry Moore, the Basque school, Japanese semiotics and geology. Its aim is to connect natural shapes with those created by man. Diatréficas represents the latest evolution in the exploration of dwellings, incorporating a warm background that reinforces the sense of shelter and refuge in architecture. Its name comes from a conceptual construction that combines dia (through) and tréfico (trapezoidal shapes), in homage to the trapezoids from Jorge Oteiza’s Paper Laborategia. More than a material exploration, these pieces soften geometry with colour, transforming the space into a more welcoming and habitable place, where sensitivity and memory play an essential role.
