Luces y sombras
Blannim
Concept
Luces y Sombras is an honest reflection of artistic life, where passion and uncertainty coexist. Inspired by contrast, the piece merges light—like a sky of fireworks—with shadow, evoked through solitude and the water that slowly soaks the textile. It invites us to embrace both sides: the brightness of devoting yourself to what you love and the challenges of introspection and instability.

Blanca Nieto, known artistically as Blannim, investigates the space between the visible and the invisible, fusing technique and concept in each of her creations. Her work revolves around memory and its impact on the perception of existence, constructing a plastic narrative where textile layers, weaves and transparencies are transformed into metaphors of time. Blannim structures her works in polyptychs. By joining several frames together, she generates unique images divided into multiple planes. Thus, each fragment dialogues with the others, evoking the way memories are fragmented and reconfigured in our minds.
