Sotto Lo Sguardo is a series that captures the stillness of the moment when we struggle between showing who we are and the fear of being judged. Each figure depicted in the work reflects that tension: their silence, their restrained gestures and intense colours reveal more than they hide. They observe us and, in doing so, invite us to meet in that fragile and honest space where art and those who contemplate it recognise each other.

Desirée Petrucci is an artist originally from Pistoia, Italy, whose work stems from the confluence of her Tuscan and southern roots and her solid experience in the fashion industry. Drawing has been her favourite form of expression since childhood, and over the years, she has developed her own artistic language that combines simple lines, warm colours and emotion-invoking shapes. Deeply influenced by the vitalist atmosphere of the Mediterranean, Desirée seeks to capture intimacy, human relationships and authenticity in her work, conveying stories through an intuitive creative process guided by memory and feeling.
