At Kave Home, our aim is to give visibility to female artists and inspire other women through their work and passion. For International Women’s Day, designers Azahar López (@azahar_illustration) and Liébana Goñi (@liebana_illustration), turned the shop windows of our Malaga and Pamplona stores into a home where nature takes centre stage, complete freedom's the dream, and women’s empowerment is a necessity. Read on to find out a little more about them!

A chat with Azahar López

Azahar López is an illustrator from Malaga whose life has revolved around art since she was a little girl. “Art's my life, my livelihood, it’s my happy place and makes me feel at peace,” she tells us. For her editorial illustration work she uses watercolours. “I feel a great bond with the more artisanal techniques such as watercolour, I really enjoy the process and I find the result extremely pleasing.”

She studied fine arts, drawing and animation, when her interest in illustration first developed, and shes' still experimenting with different artistic techniques to continue exploring the creative world.

A shop window for equality

The result? A mural combining natural elements with phrases and words advocating female empowerment. “I loved being part of this project. It's enabled me to work in a very welcoming and inviting environment. I've loved getting to know your interior design style first hand, and feeling its vibrant and fresh energy.”

A chat with Liébana Goñi

Liébana Goñi is an illustrator from Pamplona, who has been linked to the world of art since she was a little girl, whether through music, dance or painting. She graduated in Fine Arts and went on to complete her studies in Graphic Design and Art Direction in Interactive Advertising. “Today I feel lucky to dedicate myself to what I really love.”

In her work, she usually creates from her graphics tablet, so most of her work's done digitally. “However, I like to use brushes and textures that generate organic images, where the stroke and hand gesture comes through in my work."

A window into freedom

The result? A mural that reflects the power of women and nature. “I love being able to immerse myself in stories, experiences and adventures through illustration. I really enjoy my work, it gives me the chance to escape, to be contientious, and to put myself in the shoes of other people or situations. It's like therapy.”

"Collaborating with Kave Home has been a unique experience. Especially being part of Women's Day, when I think it is especially important to keep giving visibility to the rifts that still exist in our society.”

Equality in our daily lives

At Kave Home, we work to create equality in our daily lives and to transfer this philosophy to our surroundings throughout the year. Our Customer Service team will participate in a training workshop on digital customer service and share best practices. This workshop will be aimed at women at the risk of social exclusion in the province of Girona and form part of the Adecco Foundation's training programme.

Women who inspire

We know that talent has no limits. That is why we are committed to equality, valuing people of different origins, with different ideas, and all genders equally. In our team, women play a key role, accounting for 50% of the company's staff, and occupying positions of management and responsibility.
